DTM gardening article

I had the pleasure of working with The Province newspaper a few months back to create an article and video interview. The article was about my family’s involvement in the urban gardening movement and raising awareness for where our food comes from here in our home Vancouver, BC.

Either the editors really liked the article or they just wanted to run a photo with a cute baby in it, but we ended up with the full page cover photo of the section and on the actual front cover of the large run weekend printed edition of the paper! Amazing!

We are having an epic summer this year in Vancouver. Our garden plot is loving the weather so I thought I’d give you all a little update on a few highlights and share a recipe.

I got to pitch-in and design some old fashioned-y (but fashionably contemporary?) new garden signs for the community.

Chip & Shannon Wilson School of Design Announced

You may have heard the news that Chip and his Wife Shannon have teamed up with Kwantlen University to start a new boundary pushing design program. Freebird is extremely proud to be a part of this new endeavor. Our latest contributions are the direction of a soon to be launched website and this new promotional video:
